COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

The CDR is the core document for most EA assessments. It consists of three career episodes describing specific engineering projects or tasks, a summary statement mapping your competencies to EA’s standards, and a Continuing Professional Development log. Career Launchers guides you through every element of
CDR preparation.

If your degree is from a program accredited under the Washington Accord, Sydney Accord, or Dublin Accord, you may qualify for an expedited assessment pathway without a full CDR. However, eligibility depends on the specific program and institution. Career Launchers confirms your eligibility.

EA assessments for the CDR pathway currently take approximately 8 to 16 weeks. Washington Accord pathway assessments are typically faster. Career Launchers advises on current processing benchmarks at the time of your application.

Career Launchers assists with drafting and reviewing your Career Episodes to ensure they address EA’s required competency elements in the correct format. All content must reflect your genuine engineering experience. We guide, structure, and review your episodes but the technical content must come from you.

EA may reject or return a CDR for revision if it does not meet the required format or competency coverage. Career Launchers reviews returned CDRs, identifies the specific issues, and prepares a revised submission.
